“Summerland” is about wanting to find a serene world without lies, bullying and rejection, where we don’t need to be fearful of the everyday negativity that sometimes feels like it’s going to swallow us up whole. “Summerland” straddles the decades and brings a very 1980’s sound into the 21stcentury. The cryptic “Summerland”video depicts an open interpretation of what and where Summerland is while painting a picture of a world filled with isolation and danger, reminiscent of “The Upside Down” from the popular television series, Stranger Things. This synth-wave pop tune features vocals that channel the likes of Ian Curtis (Joy Division), Dave Gahan (Depeche Mode)and Jim Kerr (Simple Minds) and will leave you feeling haunted.
